30-second match quiz

Find your suburb in 4 questions

Tell us what matters most, your budget, and your lifestyle stage. We’ll score every suburb with a published median price against your priorities and surface the top six matches.

1. What matters most?

Pick the single dimension you weight most heavily.

2. What’s your budget for the median home?

Approximate is fine, we’ll give partial credit on either side.

3. What stage are you at?

Tweaks the secondary weights (e.g. families get a school bump).

4. Which state?

Pick a state if you’re committed, or “any” for national matches.

How it works

Real data, weighted to what matters to you

  • 01

Score every suburb with a published median

We read the median price each suburb's own page publishes, its 12-month change and gross yield where they are measured, ICSEA school scores, walk score and hazard records.

  • 02

    Weight to your priority

Your top priority gets 40% of the weight; budget always gets at least 20%. Stage tweaks the secondary mix. A measure we hold nothing on is left out of the score, and the results say so.

  • 03

    Surface the top six

We rank, leave out localities of 500 residents or fewer, and show why each suburb scored where it did.
